On Monday, October 4th, the rating agency Moody’s Investors Service decided to increase Tatra banka’s long-term deposit rating by one notch from A3 to A2. Tatra banka’s rating has thus reached the highest level currently possible for a commercial bank in Slovakia.
The agency improved the rating based on Tatra banka’s long-term stable financial situation. Not even the challenging times over the past year and a half worsened the bank’s stability. The agency highlights in particular the strong capital adequacy, the return to a healthy level of profitability in the first half of 2021, and clients’ good discipline in repaying loans
“Tatra banka has proven to be a strong and stable bank even during this difficult period. We are pleased that the globally recognized Moody’s Investors Service rating agency confirmed this by raising Tatra banka’s long-term rating from A3 to A2”, noted Michal Liday, CEO of Tatra banka.
Current rating of Tatra banka (since October 2021):
- the long-term deposit rating is at the A2 level,
- the short-term deposit rating is at the Prime-1 level,
- the issuer’s long-term rating is at the A3 level.
All ratings show a stable outlook.
